Escaping From Battering

If you or your mother experience one of these signs, follow an escape plan and GET OUT. Has the abuser:

 

  • Pushed or shoved you?

  • Held you back to keep you from running?

  • Slapped, bitten, kicked, or choked you?

  • Hit or punched you?

  • Thrown objects at you?

  • Abandoned you in dangerous places?

  • Refused to help you when you were sick or injured?

  • Subjected you to reckless driving?

  • Threatened to hurt you with a weapon?

 

You’re the only person who can decide how much is too much pain and what you are ready to do about it. You don’t have to take suffering. Life can be good. Don't waste it on a sick person.
