Whether you receive an allowance or not is up to your parents, and not all parents feel that children should be paid. Many teens are rewarded for good report cards, but most are paid for chores, duties, and baby-sitting within the family.
Do you really need an allowance? What do you need one for? If you believe you deserve an allowance, by all means sit down and talk with your parents about it. If you feel you need more than what you receive now as an allowance, talk to your parents. Parents cannot always read your mind. Keep the lines of communication open.
