As a young person your personality has not yet been totally defined. Believe it or not, you are still coming into yourself. Self-esteem begins in childhood, grows during the teenage years, and fluctuates widely during the adolescent process.
You should have many areas from which to draw good feelings of worth. If you don’t have a model’s figure, use your intelligence. If you are not good in sports, try the field of music. If you are not very attractive, work on a sense of humor. Nobody can be everything, but everyone can be kind, considerate, and helpful to others. These traits will far outlast physical attributes. Beauty is nice but secondary to feelings of personal worth. People must have an inner warmth to earn friendship and love.
