There is no pressure like teen pressure these days. A professor of psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania, asked what kind of person commits suicide, cited people who have a negative self-image or have gone through severe stress such as a disappointment in a career or a relationship. A temperament that could lead to suicide can be inherited.
Broken dreams top the list of reasons for teenage suicide. Some kids don’t have the natural talent they crave; some girls are not pretty enough to become models.
Broken romances are high on the list. Many teenagers feel that when a romance is over life isn’t worth living.
Broken expectations hurt when a best friend lets you down or steals your boyfriend.
Broken hearts are the hardest blows of all, such as the death of a loved one.
