Ginseng - A Powerful Adaptogen |

Adaptogens (A substance that helps the body adapt to environmental, physical, or emotional stress.) is called "A" class herbs, and extremely helpful for stressed-out people. Adaptogens help body deal with stress caused by environmental conditions such as heat, cold, and exposure to toxins, as well as stress that is emotional or psychological in nature.

Ginseng is considered one of the strongest adaptogens. This herb, which has been used as a medicine in the Far East for several thousand years, comes in a variety forms. The Asian variety is called Pariax ginseng. Another common form is American ginseng, which is use in chemical makeup.
Be aware that another common and inexpensive herb known as Siberian ginseng is, in fact, not really part of the ginseng family and does not have a strong reputation compare to adaptogen as the real ginsengs.
