Remind yourself
that this is a temporary natural phase shared by all
women, which will pass.
Be aware of what's
happening in your body.
Keep up interests
and develop new ones, to avoid dwelling on negative
thoughts.
Don't make the
mistake of equating the menopause with loss of sexual
attractiveness - this just isn't so!
Watch your diet and
take plenty of exercise to counter weight gain.
Talk to your
doctor. He may suggest estrogen tablets to cope with hot
flushes, or perhaps some hormone replacement therapy,
which many women find does wonders for reducing stress
and enhancing a sense of well-being during the
menopause.
