This company offers a practical series of tape cassette programs and books designed to help handle a wide range of stressful situations in life. Each program lasts 45-60 minutes. Relax - and Enjoy It is a complete course in deep, quick and differential relaxation, with techniques which provide the basis for anxiety management training, overcoming phobias, reduction of tension and fatigue, and good eating and sleep habits. In its sequel, Control Your Tension, the user is taught how to detect and use an anxiety surge as a trigger for quick relaxation and positive thinking strategy. Other cassettes available teach techniques for better sleep, self-assertion, handling interviews, studying effectively, passing exams, controlling fear of flying and agoraphobia.

The Centre runs autogenic training courses on a regular basis. Each course is limited to around eight people - an initial assessment by the Centre's specialist medical consultant is required before joining - and consists of eight sessions, once a week, lasting 1 1/2 hours each. Great emphasis is laid on the positive value of autogenic in controlling stress by means of passive concentration. The Centre also supplies a list of members of the British Association for Autogenic Training and Therapy, all of whom are willing to accept referrals for autogenic training.

The aim of this registered charity is to promote the teaching of physical relaxation to combat the stress of modern life, to reduce fatigue, and to prevent ill health and promote healing by means of muscle relaxation. Day and evening classes - average number is eight in a class - are in courses of six or seven at weekly intervals, with a refresher 'booster' class after a few months. Pupils are of all ages. A  correspondence course, with cassettes, is available. Practice and study tapes, and leaflets published by Relaxation for Living cover stress-related subjects such as heart disease, sounder sleep and better breathing, migraine, the menopause, easing grief, and posture, poise and confidence.

Courses and workshops on stress reduction, holistic health and relaxation, meditation, therapeutic massage, self-healing and new brain technology, with special emphasis on individual biofeedback.
