Stress feelings always intensify if they are bottled up, and this is as true at work as anywhere else. Ordinary work problems will be defused before they become damagingly stressful if you can get into the habit of talking them through with the right people: at home with your family (without overdoing it and taking the job home too often); with colleagues whom you know by experience to be trustworthy (respecting confidences is one of the most constructive ways of ensuring a stress-free working atmosphere); and in particular with friends and acquaintances who work in similar jobs.
