Inadequate Training

Too often insufficient thought is given to specific training for a particular job, both initially and on an updating basis, especially when this might mean prolonged absence from the place of work on a residential course, for example, or day-release on a regular basis over an extended period. Or else there may not be sufficient time to spare within the work organization for proper in-house training. However, this is a very false economy from the management’s point of view, and can impose considerable unnecessary stress and strain on the employee.
