Most jobs are more or less directly subjected to external pressures in some form: for example, meeting an order from a possibly unreasonably demanding customer; making a presentation to a difficult client; working in the service industries and professions where there is a great deal of contact with the public.
Such jobs, many of which involve extra-stressful peak periods, are often rated as especially stressful, dealing as they do with constant demands and sometimes unreasonable complaints. In all these job situations where an individual or company outside your own place of work is the potential source of stress, your success in coping will be judged largely in terms of how well you adapt to external needs and demands.
