Internal Pressures

In many jobs, stress is created by pressures from within. These will often generate from a network of working relationships:

  • Do you get on well with your colleagues?

  • Do you know how to handle your boss?

  • Do you relate successfully to your employees?

If the answer to any of these questions is a negative one, then you have succeeded in pinpointing a potential major source of stress; and since everyone working in a business organization (even the chairman) has to relate to and answer to somebody else. Stress deriving from inadequate working relationships and communications will be fairly evenly distributed throughout the work hierarchy.
